3 June 2009: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is inviting parties to participate in the peer-review of the first and second meetings of the Second Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on biodiversity and climate change.

Established by the CBD Conference of the Parties, the AHTEG on biodiversity and climate change convened in November 2008, in London, UK, and in April 2009, in Helsinki, Finland, to provide scientific and technical advice and assessment on the integration of the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity into climate change mitigation and adaptation activities. The findings from these two meetings were compiled into a draft report, on which parties may submit comments to the CBD Secretariat by 30 June 2009. [The Notification] [The Draft Report]
