7 September 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited Parties to the Convention to nominate their representatives for the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) by 28 September 2012.

Subject to the availability of contributions, Parties eligible for financial assistance through the Special Voluntary Trust Fund for Facilitating Participation of Parties in Convention Process are requested to nominate one representative eligible for financial assistance by 30 April 2012.
