CBD Invites Comments on CHM Draft Work Programme

The draft builds upon the framework defined by the mission, goals and objectives of the CBD Clearing-house Mechanism in support of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020.

For each objective, various activities are recommended.

CBD26 January 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited comments on a proposed work programme for the clearing-house mechanism (CHM) in support of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. The proposed work programme was drafted in consultation with the CHM informal advisory committee, and builds upon the framework defined by the mission, goals and objectives of the CHM in support of the Strategic Plan.

For each objective of the Strategic Plan, the draft recommends various activities. The feedback received will be taken into account when finalizing the corresponding pre-session document for the fourth meeting of the Working Group on Review of Implementation, to be held in May 2012, in Montreal, Canada.
