23 July 2009: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is organizing a regional workshop for Latin America and the Caribbean on Ways and Means to Promote the Sustainable Production and Use of Biofuels, to be tentatively held from 28-30 September 2009, in São Paulo, Brazil.

Governments in the region are requested to nominate one representative to be financed by the Secretariat to participate in the workshop, not later than 22 August 2009. [The notification]
