The Secretaries-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Central American Integration System (SICA) have agreed to strengthen their relationship and cooperation in the areas of climate change, security, energy, and food and nutrition security.

17 August 2011: The Secretaries-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Central American Integration System (SICA) have agreed to strengthen the institutional relationship between their two Secretariats.

The Secretaries-General noted that strengthening the relationship could include an exchange of visits by technical officers of both Secretariats in the areas of climate change, security, energy, food and nutrition security and communications technology. [CARICOM Press Release]
