CANARI Releases Second Newsletter on Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund

The newsletter highlights activities including: the launch of the Caribbean Birding Trail; surveillance of Haiti's Ricord's Iguana hatchlings; a field report on a floristic expedition to Jamaica; biodiversity research and restoration activities on Cabritos Island; and a reforestation programme in Haiti.

It also provides updates on grants approved by CEPF from July-September 2012 in: the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

November 2012: The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) has released the September issue of “Capacité,” its quarterly newsletter for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in the Caribbean islands. The newsletter provides information on activities of CEPF-financed projects, as well as grants approved from July-September 2012.

The newsletter highlights activities including: the launch of the Caribbean Birding Trail; surveillance of Haiti’s Ricord’s Iguana hatchlings; a field report on a floristic expedition to Jamaica; biodiversity research and restoration activities on Cabritos Island; and a reforestation programme in Haiti.

From July-September CEPF approved grants for activities in: the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
