The US Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) initiative has announced it is accepting nominations for its US C3E awards, which will honor mid-career achievements of women in clean energy.
2 April 2013: The US Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) initiative has announced it is accepting nominations for its US C3E awards, which will honor mid-career achievements of women in clean energy.
The nominees will be evaluated on their leadership qualities and accomplishments, which should be sufficient to merit national recognition. The winners, which will be announced at the C3E symposium in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on 19-20 September 2013, will be selected from six categories: Innovation and technology development; Entrepreneurship and innovative business models; Corporate implementation; Policy and advocacy; Advancements for the developing world; and Education and mentorship. The deadline for submissions is 15 May.
C3E is an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) that aims to advance the position of women in the field of clean energy. The US C3E women’s initiative is a partnership between the US Department of Energy (DOE) and the MIT Energy Initiative. The CEM works to reduce emissions, improve energy security, provide energy access, and sustain economic growth by increasing the deployment of clean energy.
