The aim of the fellowship is to enhance research in forest genetic resources through hands-on experience in the field and increased opportunities for the publication of research results. The fellowship is open to citizens of countries in sub-Saharan Africa who are associated with a national university, research institution or a research-oriented non-governmental organization. Applicants must also be under 40 years of age and have a Master’s degree or the equivalent in a relevant field.
