2 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published an information note (YdB/HT/AWGs/2010), pertaining to an invitation for submissions by 16 Februrary 2010 in response to two annexed messages.
Annex I consists of a joint message from the Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) and the Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA). Parties are invited to submit their views by 16 February 2010, on the need for additional meeting time of the AWGs in 2010. Based on the views expressed by parties, the Chairs will make a recommendation to the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties on the timing of the first session of the AWG-KP and AWG-LCA in 2010. Annex II consists of a message from the Chair of the AWG-LCA inviting submissions from parties by 16 February 2010 on how best to advance the work of the AWG-LCA in 2010. [The Information Note]
