Asia Regional Network on Small Wind Power to be Established

According to Energy For All, the workshop discussed business opportunities for small wind power development in Asia and the opportunity for synergies under the Energy for All Partnership, and agreed to establish an Asia Regional Network on Small Wind Power.

14 March 2012: The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB’s) Energy for All Partnership (E4ALL) has announced that it will play a role in establishing an Asia Regional Network on Small Wind Power, as decided at an International Workshop on Small Wind Power for Off-Grid Electrification in Asian Developing Countries from 21-23 February in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea.

According to the E4ALL site, the workshop discussed business opportunities for small wind power development in Asia and the opportunity for synergies under the Energy for All Partnership. Participants agreed to establish the Asia Regional Network on Small Wind Power and to pursue near term activities to be carried out in 5-6 Asian countries over the next two years.
