ASEF Announces Winner of Sustainable Consumption Photo Contest

The Asia-Europe Foundation has announced the winner of its online photo contest to promote sustainable consumption.

Over 40 international students and young professionals submitted photos depicting sustainable consumption in their home towns, and the public was invited to vote for the picture they thought captured this issue in the most striking way.

August 2012: The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) has announced the winner of the 18th ASEF University (AU18) Online Photo Contest on sustainable consumption. The award was presented during the opening of AU 18, on the theme “Conscious Consumers for Environmental Sustainability.”

The winning photo was selected through public voting. AU 18 convened from 18 August-1 September 2012, in Tartu, Estonia. The winners of the contest are Rahmat HM from Indonesia, together with Alice Pirlot from Belgium, Candy Tsang from China, Annika Karusion from Estonia, Petros Papakostas from Greece, and Zsuzsanna Vari-Kovacs from Hungary, for their photo depicting an automatic sink faucet in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
