Annotated Provisional Agenda of ECOSOC’s 2012 Substantive Session Now Available

The provisional agenda has been drawn up on the basis of the list of items approved by ECOSOC at its organizational session for 2012, and contains the issues that will be considered by ECOSOC during the various segments of the substantive session, including issues related to sustainable development.

May 2012: The annotated provisional agenda of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)’s 2012 substantive session is now online (E/2012/100).

The provisional agenda has been drawn up on the basis of the list of items approved by ECOSOC at its organizational session for 2012 (Council decision 2012/204), and contains the issues that will be considered by ECOSOC during the various segments of the substantive session.

Issues related to sustainable development will be considered during, inter alia, the thematic discussion on macroeconomic policies for productive capacity, employment creation, sustainable development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which will take place during the high-level segment.
