Angola Joins CITES as 179th Party

The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) announced that the Republic of Angola has joined the Convention as its 179th Party.

CITES9 October 2013: The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) announced that the Republic of Angola has joined the Convention as its 179th Party. Angola has 350 CITES-listed species, including 63 species of birds of prey, 28 species of primates, over 20 species of dolphins, 57 species of spurges, 52 species of aloes as well as the African elephant, lion and leopard. The Convention will enter into force for Angola on 31 December 2013. [CITES News]
