Albania, Botswana and the Federated States of Micronesia have ratified the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing (ABS), bringing the number of ratifications to 15.

CBD28 February 2013: Albania, Botswana and the Federated States of Micronesia have ratified the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing (ABS), bringing the number of ratifications to 15.

The three countries join Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, India, Jordan, Lao PDR, Mauritius, Mexico, Panama, Rwanda, the Seychelles and South Africa, which have already ratified the Protocol. The Nagoya Protocol on ABS will enter into force 90 days after the date of deposit of the 50th instrument of ratification. [CBD Notification][Status of Signatures and Ratifications][Protocol Text]
