Agropolis International Joins CBD Scientific Consortium

Agropolis International has become the 18th member of the CBD Consortium of Scientific Partners.

Agropolis International gathers skills and expertise in the fields of agriculture, food, biodiversity and environment, with a focus on the development of Mediterranean and tropical regions.

3 August 2011: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Agropolis International and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), making Agropolis the 18th member of the CBD Consortium of Scientific Partners.

Founded in 1986 and based in Montpellier, France, Agropolis International gathers skills and expertise in the fields of agriculture, food, biodiversity and environment, with a focus on the development of Mediterranean and tropical regions. The CBD Consortium of Scientific Partners was created in 2006, in Curitiba, Brazil, and includes leading scientific institutions, botanical gardens and natural history museums.
