AfDB Supports Sanitation Improvements in Central African Republic

The AfDB-backed programme aims to contribute to the improvement of the well-being of local population through increased access to drinking water and sanitation in the capital city, Bangui, as we as in Bamingui–Bangoran, Haute Kotto, Kemo and Nana-Gribizi.

The programme will include the social reinsertion of 500 young ex-soldiers, as well as that of unemployed in their respective communities.

AfDB10 December 2012: The African Development Bank (AfDB) has granted a two-year loan and two grants amounting to 12 billion FCFA to support drinking water and sanitation efforts in the Central African Republic.

The AfDB-backed programme aims to contribute to the improvement of the well-being of local population through increased access to drinking water and sanitation in the capital city, Bangui, as we as in Bamingui–Bangoran, Haute Kotto, Kemo and Nana-Gribizi.

The programme will include the social reinsertion of 500 young ex-soldiers and unemployed people in their respective communities. It will benefit approximately 1,260 000 inhabitants. [AfDB Press Release (in French)]
