The January-February issue of the African Development Bank's (AfDB) Climate Finance newsletter highlights the publication of a report, titled "Financing Change: The AfDB and CIF for a Climate-Smart Africa," which documents the Bank's work in implementing its Climate Investment Funds (CIF) portfolio.

AfDBMarch 2013: The January-February issue of the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Climate Finance newsletter highlights the publication of a report, titled “Financing Change: The AfDB and CIF for a Climate-Smart Africa,” which documents the Bank’s work in implementing its Climate Investment Funds (CIF) portfolio.

The newsletter underscores the importance of documenting the AfDB’s work in effecting change to achieve a “climate-smart” Africa as a way to understand the potential outcomes of such work. It further draws attention to the recent undertakings by AfDB in the field of resilience and development, renewable energy and green growth.

Projects and events highlighted by the newsletter include: AfDB and CIF support to increase climate resilience in Mozambique; geothermal development in Kenya; sustainable transport in Nigeria; and a green growth workshop held in Zambia in January 2013.
