ADB Energy for All Announces Research into Feasibility of Fibreglass Biogas Plants in Bangladesh

7 March 2012: The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB’s) Energy for All Partnership (E4ALL) has announced assistance to Bangladesh in assessing the feasibility of introducing fiberglass biogas plants into Bangladesh’s domestic biogas sector.

According to the Energy for All website, Bangladesh is currently working towards a target of installing 150,000 biogas plants by 2016 in rural areas, with the aim of establishing a sustainable commercial biogas sector. With support of the E4ALL Partnership, experts have been studying technical, market and administrative issues related to introducing prefabricated reinforced fiberglass domestic biogas plants.
