15 July 2009: The Adaptation Fund Board Secretariat has announced that Andrew M. Wee of Cebu City, Philippines, has won the contest to create a new logo for the Fund.
The designer explains that the logo is “composed of a sprouting plant which forms the acronym ‘AF,’ symbolizes the ‘necessary hope’ that the Adaptation Fund helps provide. This growing plant likewise represents a ‘green’ fund as well as the need to nurture it.” As a reward, Wee will travel to Germany to attend the award ceremony during the Adaptation Fund’s Seventh Board Meeting.
