13TH MEETING OF THE CITES PLANTS COMMITTEE

The 13th meeting of the CITES Plants Committee drew together some 75 participants representing governments, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.

The meeting’s agenda included a range of topics, such as regional reports, checklists and nomenclature, strategic planning, significant trade and evaluation of the review of significant trade. Delegates also followed-up on COP-12 decisions on Harpagophytum spp., guaiacum spp. and aquilaria spp., and agreed on the terms of reference and schedule for the review of criteria for amending the Appendices I and II.
