Co-organized by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Government of Qatar, this meeting will discuss the dynamics and challenges of foreign direct investment in a post crisis global economy, addressing among other issues: investment in low carbon growth and technologies; and opportunities for partnerships and policy options for promoting sustainable investment. The meeting will be attended by Heads of State and ministers, global Chief Executive Officers, heads of international organizations and civil society. The World Investment Forum (WIF) is a high-level, biennial, multi-stakeholder gathering that is designed to facilitate dialogue and action on the world’s key emerging investment-related challenges. The third WIF will take place in conjunction with the UNCTAD XIII Ministerial Conference (21-26 April 2012) in Doha, Qatar.
