The World Green Economy Summit 2014 (WGES) is an initiative of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and will be held under the leadership of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), in conjunction with the water, energy and environment technologies exhibition 'WETEX 2014'. Summit partners include the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Global Energy Initiative, the CEO Platform for Green Growth in the Middle East and North Africa, and the Clean Energy Business Council. WGES is organized around the theme 'Global Partnerships, Sustainable Future'. It will constitute the first green economy summit in the Middle East and North Africa region, and will link up to the global efforts in securing a climate agreement in 2015 at UNFCCC COP 21.
