Workshop on Supporting Small- and Large-Scale Deployment of Renewables through Electricity Storage

Organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), this workshop will focus on the role of electricity storage in strengthening renewables-based mini-grids for rural electrification, and integrating utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind power parks into the grid. The workshop will also explore best practices and lessons to be highlighted in IRENA's forthcoming technology roadmap for electricity storage publication. The workshop will convene a maximum of 30 participants, who will also be granted complimentary access to the '2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Energy Storage and Microgrids in India,' taking place from 4-5 December in New Delhi, India. The event is the third in a series of workshops on electricity storage, with previous workshops, focusing on policy and regulation, and self-consumption, taking place on 27 March in Düsseldorf, Germany, and 7 November in Tokyo, Japan, respectively.
