The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the International Energy Agency's Renewable Energy Technology Deployment (IEA-RETD) Programme will hold a workshop on “Levelised Costs of Renewable Energy: What if costs continue to drop?” to examine the consequences of the declining cost of renewable energy technologies, and discuss preparedness measures for policymakers if the trend continues. Policymakers, members of industry and the scientific community are expected to attend sessions including on system integration costs, and prospects for accelerated deployment of renewables specifically regarding electric vehicles, among others.
