The West Africa Forum for Clean Energy Financing will feature a business plan competition that will bring leading clean energy entrepreneurs in West Africa together with investors, fund managers and financiers that specialize in West Africa's clean energy sector. Ten West African clean and renewable energy projects selected for their commercial viability and environmental benefits will present their business plans at the Forum. For investors, the Forum represents an opportunity to access a group of projects ready for investment and that have high potential for profit and verified environmental and development benefits. The Forum is targeted at investors and financiers but any other stakeholders are welcome to attend as well. It is taking place as part of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) Renewable Energy Investment Week, taking place from 8-10 October 2013. It is being organized by the Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN), a multilateral, public-private partnership initiated by the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) in cooperation with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Expert Group on Technology Transfer.
