The Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), together with Nicaragua's Ministry of Energy and Mines, will co-host the VI Latin American and the Caribbean Energy Efficiency Seminar, which seeks to identify regional challenges to mitigating the environmental impacts of energy and to share experiences and best practices in energy efficiency. The EE 2014 seminar will include discussions of energy efficiency measures in the hydrocarbons sector, energy efficiency in public water systems, energy-efficient construction, strategies and mechanisms for the massive introduction into national markets of efficient appliances and equipment, applied measures and technologies for efficient transportation, and financing opportunities for energy efficiency in the region.
