VI Latin American and Caribbean Biofuels Seminar

The sixth edition of this seminar series is organized by the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) with support from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), a specialized agency of the Organization of American States (OAS). The sixth Seminar will open with presentations of case studies of the evolution of public policy on biofuels and its impact on market development and new technologies in the last five years, followed by sessions on, inter alia: socioeconomic impacts of biofuels in aviation; technological advances in production of second and third generation biofuels; social participation in biodiesel production; the international biofuels market; and biorefineries. On the second day a roundtable will be held for OLADE member countries on the development of biofuels in Latin America and the Caribbean.
