This summit, which is subtitled “Rio and Beyond: The Future We Need,” is being organized by an Executive Committee of students from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale Law School, Yale School of Management, and Yale College. Its purpose is to generate new knowledge, policy and action on sustainability in the United States and Canada, and to provide a platform for US and Canadian civil society to share and collaborate in the lead-up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD or Rio+20). The summit will also provide for virtual participation.
