The President of the 65th UN General Assembly (UNGA), Joseph Deiss, will convene a thematic debate on global governance in the UNGA on 25 June 2011. The informal event is part of a series organized in support of the President's key priorities for the GA session – the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), global governance and sustainable development – as well as to reaffirm the central role of the UN in global governance.
