UNGA President Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces will convene a meeting of former UNGA presidents on the theme, 'Revitalization of the United Nations in favor of a strengthened multilateral rules-based system,' to discuss how to make sure the UN “delivers for the people effectively and efficiently, including through a reformed and reinvigorated multilateral system”. In a briefing on 15 January 2019, Espinosa said the former presidents will aim to craft a set of recommendations.
