The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) Forestry and Timber Section are convening a workshop to discuss ways and means to integrate forests into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The first meeting identified the need for a strong target on forests to be included in the SDGs. The second meeting will continue deliberations, including on how the group can support the SDG process.
