UNDP 50th Anniversary Ministerial Meeting

An event to mark the 50th anniversary of the UN Development Programme's (UNDP) founding will bring together ministers from around the world and UN partners to discuss how to translate the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development into concrete actions and results. The event will include plenary and thematic sessions on: eradicating poverty and leaving no one behind; protecting the planet and sustainable development; ending violence and building peace; and managing risk and building resilience to climate change. Participating ministers will share their vision for how UNDP can contribute to countries' efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event is expected to identify key roles for UNDP to assist countries in implementation and monitoring. UNDP will use the meeting recommendations to guide its future work.
