Organized by the UN Conference on Trade and Development, this workshop aims at sharing UNCTAD's knowledge about economic development and poverty reduction in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and learning from the experiences of LDCs with poverty reduction strategies. The workshop will be framed around the following elements: the State and development governance; nature and impact of the crisis; aid effectiveness; technology; trade policy; agriculture and commodities; climate change; South–South cooperation; and implications for fourth UN Conference on LDCs.
