In preparation for the Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC-IV, Istanbul, 2011), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is convening an LDC-IV pre-conference event addressing how to build productive capacities in LDCs, including panels on the role of: trade, foreign direct investment, and science in building productive capacities.
