This Conference on Women’s Safety will bring together representatives from women’s and community organizations, municipal and national governments, UN agencies, grassroots women, researchers, experts, and academics to work together and build upon the global movement towards the creation of safer and more gender-inclusive cities and communities. The UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), the Huairou Commission, the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and Red Mujer y Habitat de America Latina are supporting partners for this conference.
