Third Global Conference on Big Data for Official Statistics

The Third Global Conference on Big Data for Official Statistics aims to promote utilization of big data in the production of official statistics by providing guidance on access to data and partnerships with data owners, training courses on methodology and project data related to big data, and supporting projects that demonstrate the use of big data for official statistics, with a focus on the compilation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators. The Conference will focus on access on partnerships (day one); capacity building for innovation in official statistics (day two); and big data and the SDG indicators (day three). The Civil Society Organization (CSO) Ireland, the UN Statistics Division's (UNSD) Global Working Group (GWG) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics are organizing the conference.
