This meeting represents the third and final regional consultation to define Africa’s position on post-2015 development priorities. The consultation will include panel discussions and sessions on development issues, including education, human development, inclusive and sustainable growth and technological innovation. The meeting is expected to finalize a common African position that will be endorsed by Ministers at the African Union (AU) Summit in May 2013. The African Development Bank (AfDB), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the Africa Union Commission (AUC) and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) are the co-organizers of the consultation. Previous consultations were held in in Mombasa, Kenya, in October 2012, and in Dakar, Senegal, in December 2012.
