The Post-2015 Development Framework: Priorities for the LDCs

The UN Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS) and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) are organizing this meeting, which will explore how to place the needs of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) – including as outlined in the Istanbul Programme of Action (IPOA) – at the heart of the post-2015 development agenda, and ensure that they are reflected in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Discussion will focus on environmental sustainability, poverty eradication, resilience and structural transformation, as well as climate change, access to food, water and sanitation and unsustainable consumption. The LDC Independent Expert Group published a position paper for the meeting, which is available at: http://pubs.iied.org/17201IIED.html
