The Energy Center of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, is organizing a short course on Energy Policy and Planning in cooperation with the World Bank, the International Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering – 2iE, the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) – European Union (EU) Cooperation Programme in Higher Education (EDULINK). The course focuses on: global and local trends in renewable energy technologies; Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning (LEAP); and a review of national and regional policy documents relating to renewable energy.
