22-23 November 2023 Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
Tenth Roundtable on Financing Water

The Tenth Roundtable on Financing Water will bring together actors in the water and finance communities for a regional meeting focused on Africa. The meeting aims to promote a regional perspective on financing water challenges and opportunities, engage with public and private sectors on solutions to scale up investments for water in Africa, and explore practical ways to deliver on commitments made at the 2023 UN Water Conference.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) are co-organizing the event in partnership with the World Water Council, the World Bank, and the Government of the Netherlands.

Sessions will focus on: an African perspective on global water agendas and the global financial architecture; investing in water for growth and development (energy, agriculture, and urban development); financing universal access to sanitation in urban and rural areas; unlocking the potential of private finance and regional and international development banks for water; understanding water-related risks and their implications for corporations and financial institutions in Africa; and highlighting the global value of water and biodiversity in Africa.
