A national workshop to validate Tanzania's Integrated Investment Framework (IIF) for sustainable land management (SLM) will take place in Bagamoyo, Tanzania, from 18-20 February 2014. The workshop will bring together experts from government ministries, academia, development partner agencies, civil society organizations and the private sector. This will be the last in a series of four workshops within the framework of the Global Mechanism's (GM) Country Programme for Tanzania, the overall goal of which is to empower a variety of stakeholders to effectively and efficiently mobilize resources for the implementation of Tanzania's National Action Programme to combat desertification (NAP/UNCCD) under the overall coordination of the government.
