Annual Conference of Swiss Development Cooperation 2016

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will organize its 2016 Annual Conference on the theme, ‘Together towards a sustainable future: The 2030 Agenda for Switzerland and the world’. Didier Burkhalter, Federal Councillor, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will deliver opening and keynote addresses, respectively, on the 2030 Agenda. Other UN officials will share their experiences in drafting the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including reflection on what the SDGs mean for individual countries. The conference will also feature panel discussions on: sustainable water management in Chad and Switzerland; sustainable development tools and partnerships; and public and private sector financing.
