Organized by Novozymes, this side event will be held during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), and aims to raise awareness of ethanol-based cooking as a viable solution for low-income urban households in developing countries. It will showcase an integrated food and energy business in Mozambique, which was established by CleanStar Ventures and Novozymes, that converts urban households away from charcoal and to a clean, safe, ethanol-based cooking solution.
