This one-day event, organized by the European Commission, takes place in the context of growing awareness among Central Asia Governments of the potential of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The event seeks to promote sustainable energy developments and related business opportunities in the region. Three sessions will feature panelists representing Central Asian ministries responsible for energy, the European Commission, European development banks and agencies, and international energy specialist organizations, such as the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), among others, and will focus on: promoting sustainable energy in Central Asia; financing sustainable energy in Central Asia; and deploying sustainable energy projects. The event will be held in English and Russian, with simultaneous interpretation.
