The UN Economic Commision for Europe (UNECE) Timber Committee, along with the European Forestry Commission (EFC), are convening a special session in order to consider: the draft Action Plan for the Forest Sector in a Green Economy; the draft Joint Programme of Work 2014-17 for the Timber Committee and the European Forestry Commission; the results of the UNECE review and its implications on the work programme of the ECE-Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) Forestry and Timber Section; and the outcome of the 35th Session of the Joint Working Party on Forest Statistics, Economics and Management to be held the 23-25 April 2013.
