Under the theme “Smart change – towards a sustainable Common Agricultural Policy (CAP),” this Congress aims to address the policy change needed to come to a “greener, smarter, fairer European CAP” for the future, improve the availability of sustainably produced food for consumers and to ensure the credibility of certification for sustainable farm systems. Participants will discuss, among other things: organic regulation and credibility in sustainable food production; strategic steps ahead for the CAP after 2013; paving the way to sustainable food supply through rural development programmes; and promoting organic consumption through promotional measures and green public procurement.
