The goal of this second meeting of the group of senior experts, which was established in 2012 by the Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is to prepare the first full draft of their report, which is provisionally titled ‘Rethinking Learning in a Changing World'. While the report of UNESCO's senior experts intends to supplement the current global debate on education and learning in the post-2015 development agenda, it also aims to stimulate debate about the fundamental principles that may guide educational policy and practice in the decades ahead.
