This event aims to promote integrated water resources management (IWRM) of Lake Titicaca, a transboudary lake located in Bolivia and Peru, and to discuss management tools for the sustainable use of water. The symposium will also consider participatory, scientific and technical approaches to the management of Lake Titicaca. The event’s objectives include promoting: bi-national cooperation at local, national and regional levels; the participation of scientific and technical actors in the management of Lake Titicaca; and developing recommendations for appropriate authorities.
