The global meeting of the Indigenous Peoples' Forum at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will convene prior to the 38th session of IFAD's Governing Council. The meeting will focus on indigenous food systems and sustainable development. The Forum, which institutionalizes IFAD's consultation and dialogue with indigenous peoples' representatives at the national, regional and international levels, held its first global meeting in 2013. In preparation for the second Forum, regional workshops took place in late 2014 in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America.
