Second “Sustainable Development in Action” Google+ Hangout

The Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) of the UN Department for Economic and Social Development (DESA) will host this Google+ Hangout, “”Achieving the Future We Want through Civil Society Engagement”, as part of its follow-up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). Key experts and stakeholders from Rio+20 will share their views on concrete outcomes of the conference and on ongoing followup. Panelists include: Chantal Line Carpentier, Major Groups Programme Coordinator at DESA's Division for Sustainable Development (DSD); Maruxa Cardama, Former Secretary-General of the Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development (NRG4SD); Jeffery Huffines, Organizing Partner of the NGO Major Group; Farooq Ullah, Director of Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future; and Corinne Woods, Director of the UN Millennium Campaign. John Romano, DSD, will moderate the panel. The Hangout will be hosted on the UN Google+ account.
